Putting the Buzzzzzzzz Back in Buzz Following on from this weeks buzz about buzz I thought it might be useful to move beyond the standard textbook stuff and remind ourselves of the sensory dimension of experiential marketing. So far the definitions of buzz I have been reading have failed to acknowledge the buzzzzzzzzzz, in other words the acoustic (sensory) dimension. Surely it is the embodied resonance of secret whispers and breathless news that allows buzz to provide 3 essential characteristics of a really effective marketing strategy? * Embodied reassurance * An opportunity to participate in a confirmatory ritual * A competitive opportunity So here’s to putting the buzzzzzzzz back in buzz!
